X-ray CHAIR

X-RAY CHAIR is a design that a back side is erased as if we look at X-rays image, and brought translucent lightness.

I use wood for the seat and leg part which needed structural strength, and I reduce the whole weight by making other parts frame which needed few burden. I design X-RAY CHAIR to adapt itself to the interior space naturally by the light image.

X-RAY CHAIR は、構造的に強度の必要な座面と脚部を木材としながら、負担の少ないその他の部分をフレーム化することで全体を軽量化し、その軽やかな印象により、インテリア空間にも自然に溶け込むデザインとしました。そしてこの椅子は、X線画像を見るかのように背面を消し去り、透明感のある軽さをもたらしました。
